Introduction
To be used to alışkın olduğumuz geleneklerimizi ve alışkanlıklarımızı anlatmak için kullanılan bir yapıdır.
Olumlu Halde [affirmative] yardımcı eylem olarak, öznenin bahsedilen geleneği veya alışkanlığı gerçekleştirdiğini belirtir.

Olumlu Halde “to be used to” aşağıdaki formül ile kullanılır.

NOT: Sadece geçmişte olan olaylardan bahsederken kullanılan- to use to yapısıyla karıştırmayınız.
Örnek:
— “You are used to having breakfast early in the morning.” = to be used to öznenin alışkanlığından bahsetmek için kullanılmış.
♦ “You used to have breakfast early in the morning.” = to use to ise burada geçmişte olan fakat artık gerçekleşmeyen bir olaydan bahsetmek için kullanılmış.
