Introduction
To be used to je větná konstrukce, kterou používáme, když mluvíme o našich zvycích.
Vyjádřeno v Záporném tvaru, sloveso popírá, že podmět má nějakou zvyklost.
Form
Záporný tvar konstrukce “To be used to” má následující formu:
Subject + to be + not + used to + [verb + ing]/pronoun/noun phrase + …

*pokud po této konstrukci následuje sloveso, musí končit na -ing.
Example
- They‚re not used to working in a big, modern city.
- I have not had long hair since I was a child so I‚m not used to it now.
- He is not used the noise of the washing machine.
Use
Konstrukce “To be used to” vyjadřuje že jsme na něco zvyklí, nebo že nám je něco dobře známé.

Například:
— „I am not used to having breakfast early in the morning.“ = Podmět popírá, že by měl ve zvyku snídat brzy ráno.
NOTE: Pokud po této konstrukci následuje sloveso, musí končit na -ing.
