Introduction
Invariant Nouns jsou taková, které nelze převést do množného tvaru, protože nemají vyjádřené číslo.

Form
Nejběžnější Invariant Nouns jsou: clothes, fireworks, glasses, goggles, jeans, outskirts, scissors, series, thanks, trousers…
Example
- Singular form of the invariant nouns
- A pair of scissors is on the office desk.
- This advertisement is about a new series.
- Your old pair of goggles is used in the musical.
- Plural form of the invariant nouns
- Scissors are dangerous for babies.
- New TV series about famous writers are going to start.
- These goggles cost a fortune!
Use
Obvykle ke slovu jednoduše přidáme příponu „-s“, když chceme vytvořit tvar množného čísla. Invariant Nouns mají stejný tvar jak v jednotném, tak v množném čísle, takže přidávání této přípony není nutné (pokud slovo má variantu jednotného čísla)
Člen lze přizpůsobit podstatnému jménu podle toho, zda má oba jednotný a množný tvar.

Invariant Nouns jsou taková, které nelze převést do množného tvaru. V angličtině je mnoho takových jmen, ale ta nejběžnější jsou: clothes, fireworks, glasses, goggles, jeans, outskirts, scissors, series, thanks, trousers…
Například:
— „I bought a pair of jeans.“ = Jednotné číslo.
— „I bought two pairs of jeans.“ = Množné číslo.
NOTE: Tato slova mohou mít oba tvary, jak jednotný, tak množný. Pokud máme jednotný tvar, musíme použít odpovídající člen.
