Introduction

Enostavni preteklik [past simple] je čas, ki ga uporabljamo za opisovanje situacij, dogodkov in dejanj, ki so se zgodili v preteklosti.

Ko je v vprašalni obliki, ga uporabljamo za postavljanje vprašanj o preteklosti.

Form

Past simple tako pravilnih kot nepravilnih* glagolov ima v vprašalni obliki strukturo:
Did + subject + verb + …?

  • Did je pretekla oblika glagola do.

Did they work ?

*Vprašalne in nikalne oblike nepravilnih glagolov imajo enako strukturo kot pri pravilnih glagolih.

Example

  1. Did I bake delicious biscuits yesterday?
  2. Did he study a lot for the exams?
  3. Did she do any exercise last Monday?
  4. Did they travel around the world last year?

Use

Past simple v vprašalni obliki uporabljamo, ko postavljamo vprašanja o:

  1. Kratkih končanih dejanjih ali dogodkih, do katerih je prišlo;
  2. Dolgih zaključenih situacijah, do katerih je prišlo;
  3. Ponavljajočih se dogodkih in navadah iz preteklosti;
  4. Preteklih dogodkih s časovnimi izrazi, kot so: two weeks ago, last year, in 2010, yesterday

Summary

Enostavni preteklik [past simple] v vprašalni obliki uporabljamo, ko postavljamo vprašanja o situacijah, do katerih je prišlo v preteklosti, in ki so sedaj zaključene.

Struktura je:
Did + subject + verb + …? 

Na primer:
— “Did they work on an important project yesterday?” = Past simple uporabljamo za postavljanje vprašanj o preteklih dogodkih.
