Introduction
Samostalniki [nouns] se nanašajo na osebo, prostor, stvar, dogodek, snov ali pojav.
Sestavljeni samostalniki [compound nouns] so samostalniki, sestavljeni iz kombinacije besed.
Form
Sestavljeni samostalnik je samostalnik, sestavljen iz dveh ali več obstoječih besed, ki skupaj sestavljajo novi samostalnik. Najpogosteje rabljeni so:

Vsak del sestavljenega samostalnika ima sam po sebi pomen in rezultat kombinacije besed je nova beseda z novim pomenom.
Summary
Sestavljeni samostalnik je samostalnik, sestavljen iz dveh ali več besed.
Najpogosteje rabljeni so: airport, blackboard, cheesecake, earring, fireman, football, girlfriend, teaspoon, wallpaper…
Na primer:
— Bed (prostor za počivanje) + room (prostor, obkrožen s zidovi) → Bedroom (prostor s posteljo, ki se jo uporablja za počitek).
