Introduction
Predlogi [prepositions] so majhne besede, ki povezujejo elemente v povedi. Pomembni so, ker dodajajo podrobnosti o povedi.
Krajevne predloge [prepositions of place] uporabljamo za umeščanje dogodka v časovni okvir.
Form
Krajevne predloge uporabljamo za lociranje dogodka.
Najpogosteje uporabljamo: under, next to, above, behind, between, over, opposite, below, in front of, near…
Example
- The mountain boots are under the bed.
- The coat is next to the backpack.
- She hung a picture above the fireplace.
- Two people are standing behind George.
- The pilot is standing between those two air hostesses.
- They hung a clock over the sofa.
- The bakery is opposite my father’s restaurant.
Use
Krajevne predloge uporabljamo za opisovanje lokacije nečesa.
