Introduction

Prihodnjik je čas, ki ga uporabljamo za opisovanje prihodnjih dogodkov. Enostavni prihodnjik [future simple] uporabljamo za izražanje napovedi, prepričanj in namenov, ki se vežejo na prihodnost.

Ko je izražen v trdilni obliki, glagol potrjuje nekaj glede osebka.

Form

Future simple ima v trdilni obliki naslednjo strukturo:
Subject + will + verb + …

  • Kratke verzije trdilnih oblik so: I’ll – you’ll – he’ll…
Subject will Verb
I/You/He/She/It will work
We/You/They will work

Example

  1. Obljube
    • I will be there, I promise!
    • She promises she will wear a bikini.
    • We will tell you if he shows up.
  2. Spontane odločitve
    • I’m cold, I will put my gloves on!
    • Sure, he’ll come tonight.
    • No worries, they’ll call you back.
  3. Upanja/mnenja/napovedi
    • I hope you will leave soon.
    • I think she will pay with cash.
    • In my opinion, they will buy this business.

Use

Future simple v trdilni obliki uporabljamo za izražanje:

  1. Obljub;
  2. Spontanih odločitev;
  3. Upanj, mnenj ali napovedi.

Summary

Enostavni prihodnjik [future simple] v trdilni obliki uporabljamo za potrjevanje napovedi, prepričanj in namenov glede prihodnosti, in ko smo prepričani, da se bodo ti dogodki zgodili.

Struktura je:
Subject + will + verb + …

Na primer
— “We will work on important projects next month.” = Future simple uporabimo, ker izražamo namen za prihodnost.
♦ “We work on important projects.” = present simple affirmative, to work (work).
