Introduction

Determinantai [determiners] yra daiktavardžių modifikatoriai. Jie gali suteikti informaciją apie kurį ir kiek žmonių, daiktų… mes kalbame.

Kiekybiniai determinantai [quantitative determiners] yra naudojami nusakyti kieno nors kiekį.

Form

Kiekybiniai determinantai yra naudojami nusakyti kažkieno dydžiui ar kiekiui.

Dažniausiai vartojamimyra šie: all (of), a lot of (lots of), a number of, enough (of), most (of), none (of)…

Example

  • All my friends like drawing.
    All of my friends like drawing.
  • A lot can happen in a long trip.
    Lots of things can happen in a long trip.
  • A number of pilots were waiting.
  • There isn’t enough red wine for everyone.
    There are enough of us to get the group price.
  • This plant has the most strawberries.
    Most of the students in our university are from France.
  • I have three leather jackets, he has none.
    None of their children have dark skin.

Use

Naudojame kiekybinius determinantus nusakyti kažkieno dydžiui ar kiekiui:

  1. All (of) (visi ar viskas, visa suma ar numeris);
  2. A lot (of) (didelis kiekis);
  3. A number of (daugiau nei du, tačiau ne dauguma);
  4. Enough (of) (kiekis, kokybė ar apimtis, atitinkanti reikalavimus, poreikius bei lūkesčius);
  5. Most (of) (didžiusias kiekis);
  6. None (of) (niekas, nei vienas, kalbant apie daiktus ar žmones).

Kiekybiniai determinantai [quantitative determiners] naudojami nusakyti kažkieno dydžiui ar kiekiui:

Dažniausiai vartojami yra šie: all (of), a lot of (lots of), a number of, enough (of), most (of), none (of)…

Pavyzdžiui:
— “A number of my friends booked the flight to Valencia.” = Kiekybinis determinantas a number of (tam tikras skaičius…) nurodo, jog daugiau nei du draugai užsakė skrydį.
— “None of my friends took the ship.” = Kiekybinis determinantas none of (nei vienas iš…) nurodo, jog nei vienas iš draugų neplaukė laivu.
